Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Driver in CHICAGO, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer supporting a busy education location. You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns while providing clear communication and customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be able to ride a bike.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control practices, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Carry and maintain assigned duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal post orders, licensing requirements, and use of force guidelines.
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus personnel and/or public emergency responders when required.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, document security-related observations, and communicate shift information to site leadership and/or dispatch per established protocols.
