About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Driver in Laurinburg, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will carry out armed duties while documenting activity and responding to concerns with integrity. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to onsite staff and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
• Carry and responsibly handle an authorized firearm and other assigned equipment in accordance with Allied Universal guidelines, post orders, and applicable laws and/or regulations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with onsite personnel and public partners as directed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report conditions needing attention.
• Complete detailed reports and logs regarding patrol activity, incidents, access control activity, and observations, and communicate updates to supervisors and site leadership.
