About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Driver in Sparks, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to situations, document observations, and provide professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will work as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to location staff and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify potential issues.
  • Control access to restricted areas by checking identification, managing visitor entry processes, and/or monitoring entry and exit points in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with on-site personnel and/or public agency partners when needed.
  • Carry and handle assigned equipment, including an authorized firearm, in accordance with training and post orders, and complete required documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and/or shift activity reports.
