About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Driver in Blanch, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with calm, clear communication. You will document observations, support staff and visitors with strong customer service, and uphold Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity. This role requires driving and is an armed post.

Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, checking for unusual conditions and helping to reduce unauthorized activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public partners as directed.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, managing visitor processing, monitoring restricted areas, and directing individuals according to post orders.
  • Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, maintain shift logs, and properly handle issued equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
