As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following post orders, and/or supporting emergency response activities within a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and/or actions taken according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, housing areas, entry points, and perimeter zones, with working conditions that may vary by location.
  • Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or unauthorized access, and help to deter disruptive behavior through visible presence and professional interaction.
  • Support access control, screening, and movement control processes for staff, visitors, and/or authorized vehicles while maintaining awareness of security-related concerns.
