About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Mobile Driver in Morganton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Carry an authorized firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal training, post orders, and applicable laws, and complete required weapons status checks and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site leadership and public agency personnel as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, and report hazards or suspicious conditions.
  • Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification, checking authorized entry lists, monitoring vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and documenting visitor and contractor activity per post orders.
