As a Security Officer Armed Mobile Driver Patrol in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of transit-related property, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verify credentials when required, and document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in clear written reports.
  • Support coordination with supervisors, law enforcement, and/or first responders during alarms, medical calls, service disruptions, or other security-related events while maintaining professional interactions with the public.
