Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while following site-specific procedures and responding to security-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with access control procedures, and report suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain proficiency with assigned equipment, complete accurate incident documentation, and communicate observations and response actions to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
