As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Agent in Reading, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hospitals, and more. Requirements

• Possess 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Act 235 qualification is required for positions in Pennsylvania only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• A valid firearms permit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related post orders at an industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including emergency response activities appropriate to an armed post.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or deliveries, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Prepare accurate daily activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and support requested investigations involving security-related events.
