As a Security Officer Armed Healthcare Rover in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer at a government healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will respond to site needs with agility, work as part of a reliable team, and bring integrity and innovation to daily security-related responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field.
  • Have 5 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document incidents, observations, and/or security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support law enforcement, first responders, and/or site personnel during emergencies, medical incidents, evacuations, and other situations requiring a coordinated response.
