About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Annandale, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a strong presence within a healthcare location. Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper judgment and protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help maintain order and protect property.
Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and emergencies.
Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
Remain alert and observant to help identify potential risks and/or hazards within the healthcare environment.
