Requirements

  • An armed guard card is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations, conducting regular and random patrols as assigned while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalating matters to the appropriate contacts when needed.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, helping to deter unauthorized access through identification checks, visitor processing, and/or documentation of security-related activity.
  • Prepare clear reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or maintenance or property concerns, and communicate professionally with site personnel, first responders, and Allied Universal management.
