Requirements

  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Have at least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
