As a Security Officer Armed Field Patrol in Troy, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Possess a valid firearms permit preferred.
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs preferred.
• CPR/First Aid preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a defense-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support controlled entry procedures for employees, contractors, and approved visitors in accordance with site protocols.
• Assist with emergency situations, evacuation support, and coordination with site leadership and/or public responders while maintaining a professional presence.
