About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government-related locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. As this is an armed post, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor while upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual circumstances.
Monitor and report on conditions or activities that may impact the security-related environment of the government facility.
Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required by site protocols.
Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in detailed written reports.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance at any time during the shift.
