About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will monitor and patrol government-related locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. As this is an armed post, you will be responsible for maintaining a professional demeanor while upholding Allied Universal’s values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe any unusual circumstances.
  • Monitor and report on conditions or activities that may impact the security-related environment of the government facility.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required by site protocols.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in detailed written reports.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance at any time during the shift.
