About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with the coordination of security-related actions.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior, report security-related incidents, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel or law enforcement as required.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to clients, visitors, and/or the public.
  • Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and training.
  • Complete required documentation and reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
