About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrols Full-Time in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind. You will conduct routine patrols and interact with the public, delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with the coordination of security-related actions.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor for suspicious behavior, report security-related incidents, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel or law enforcement as required.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to clients, visitors, and/or the public.
Operate and maintain assigned security equipment, including firearms, in accordance with Allied Universal policies and training.
Complete required documentation and reports related to incidents, patrols, and other security-related activities.
