About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Marion, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entrances, exits, and designated areas to help to deter prohibited items and/or unauthorized individuals from entering restricted zones.
Document and report any suspicious activities, security-related incidents, and/or maintenance issues according to established protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency response personnel when required for incident resolution.
Maintain a visible security-related presence to help to deter potential disturbances and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols for armed security-related posts.
