Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Specialist in Memphis, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of security experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license in the state where the job is located.
Must have an armed guard card or license.
Must provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Must have at least 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
Monitor for suspicious behaviors and/or activities and report findings according to site protocols.
Interact with visitors, employees, and/or contractors in a courteous manner while upholding security-related standards.
Operate and maintain awareness of site-specific security-related systems and equipment as required for an armed patrol post.
Prepare and submit clear, concise reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
