Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and control entry and exit of individuals in accordance with established protocols for government locations.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter inappropriate behavior and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed for incidents requiring additional support.
Remain alert and prepared to respond to security-related emergencies or situations that may arise during patrols.
