As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist - Government in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must provide a DD214 with Honorable Discharge or possess an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Baton certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the government location and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any concerns according to site protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
Operate communication devices as required to coordinate with Allied Universal and site personnel.
Complete detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities observed.
Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols, including those related to the use of firearms as an armed post.
Assist with access control, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized individuals as needed.
