About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Specialist Government in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Have at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and verify identification of individuals entering restricted areas, adhering to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and support a sense of order within the location.
Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and client site protocols.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders when necessary, providing support and information as requested.
Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times, promptly reporting any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Carry and maintain proficiency with assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and client-specific guidelines.
