Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Government Foot Patrol in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. Requirements

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Applicants must be able to ride a bike.
Applicants must have one of the following: a DD214 with honorable discharge, an associate degree or 60 college credits, a police academy certificate, or a corrections academy certificate.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to site protocols.
Interact with the public, employees, and visitors in a professional manner while enforcing site-specific rules and regulations.
Assist law enforcement or emergency personnel on site as required during incidents or emergencies.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding daily activities, observations, and any incidents that occur during the shift.
Operate security-related equipment and technology as required for patrol and monitoring duties.
