About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Danville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will actively monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Interact with staff, visitors, and the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site-specific expectations.
  • Assist with access control, verifying credentials and authorizations as required for entry to restricted areas.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures for alarms, evacuations, or other urgent situations.
