About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol in Danville, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious behavior and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
Interact with staff, visitors, and the public in a courteous and professional manner while upholding site-specific expectations.
Assist with access control, verifying credentials and authorizations as required for entry to restricted areas.
Support emergency response efforts by following established procedures for alarms, evacuations, or other urgent situations.
