As a Security Officer Armed Full Time Patrol in Springfield, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs with professionalism. Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, exterior perimeter, and designated access points to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorized entry, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and daily activity logs, while handling assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.
