As a Security Officer Armed Full Time Mobile Patrol in Alexandria, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor assigned areas, support access control, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at commuter rail facilities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of station areas, platforms, parking locations, rail-related property, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations, reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures.
Maintain required armed post equipment and complete accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
