Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a 40 caliber endorsement.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout stations, platforms, parking areas, administrative buildings, and perimeter locations as assigned.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious activity, unattended items, and/or policy violations to help support site protocols.
• Assist riders, visitors, and staff with directions, general information, and incident reporting while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
