As a Security Officer Armed Entry Specialist in Deland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, perform routine patrols, and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. This role blends professionalism, strong communication, and customer service while supporting a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a government location.
  • Monitor access control points by checking identification, credentials, visitor logs, and/or authorized entry permissions for employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report details according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, restricted areas, and the perimeter to help identify concerns and support security-related operations.
  • Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and/or public agency representatives regarding entry procedures, directions, and security-related concerns.
