As an Armed Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a professional presence. This role combines customer service, communication, and attention to detail while using teamwork, integrity, and reliability to support daily operations and create a welcoming experience for tenants, guests, and staff.

Requirements

Have at least 1 year of military, law enforcement and armed security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and help to deter unauthorized access while maintaining accurate activity and visitor logs.
Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to property management and/or emergency personnel when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the building, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Support daily operations by assisting with directions, answering general questions, and reporting maintenance, lighting, and/or access issues that could affect the location.
