As a Security Officer Armed Entry Control in Daytona Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
  • Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying identification and credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances, screening points, and restricted areas to help support authorized access, report irregular activity, and communicate clearly with site contacts regarding security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting emergency services and/or designated personnel when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, checking access points, and reporting maintenance, policy, and/or security-related issues.
