About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Patrol in Baltimore, MD, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Must possess one or more of the following: Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies
  • A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch
  • Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid firearms permit is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following armed post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
  • Document incidents, observations, and/or unusual activity, and communicate with site contacts, local responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic locations to help to deter unauthorized access, support visitor screening procedures, and/or assist with directions and general assistance.
