This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Requirements

  • Possess a CPO certification.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Possess 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or a degree in criminal justice.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by managing front desk access activities, following site-specific procedures, and supporting security-related protocols for an educational location.
  • Greet students, staff, visitors, and vendors in a professional manner while verifying identification, processing guest sign-in records, and directing arrivals to the appropriate destination.
  • Respond to incidents, concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel when appropriate.
  • Monitor lobby activity, phones, cameras, and entry points from the front desk to help support security-related awareness and report unusual activity.
  • Complete logs, reports, and other required documentation related to visitor management, incidents, and daily front desk operations.
