As a Security Officer Armed Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Operator in College Park, GA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Requirements

  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, healthcare facility policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with facility personnel and public emergency responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and help maintain controlled access to restricted clinical, administrative, and operational areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and facility contacts.
