As a Security Officer Armed Driving Role in Asheville, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and appropriate emergency response actions at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and support restricted-area access procedures in accordance with post orders and government site requirements.
  • Support law enforcement and/or facility personnel during security-related incidents, medical calls, evacuations, and other urgent events while maintaining professionalism and attention to post instructions.
