About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driving Role Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This is an armed and driving post, offering the chance to support critical operations with integrity, teamwork, and reliability while representing Allied Universal’s caring and innovative culture.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by following site-specific procedures, government location protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, client representatives, and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and support the enforcement of location rules, post orders, and other security-related procedures.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activity, and unusual conditions, and assist with follow-up actions related to security-related matters at the location.
