Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and contacting local law enforcement and/or emergency services when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the exterior perimeter, helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted and employee-only areas, help to verify authorized entry, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or security-related hazards to site leadership.
• Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal management and/or the client's designated representatives.
