About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Driver Vehicle Patrol in Asheboro, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and telecom location as an armed, driving patrol officer. You will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. Bring integrity, teamwork, and an agile mindset as you document activity and coordinate with site leaders to support day-to-day operations.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity that may help to deter incidents.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for service, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to law enforcement and/or site leadership when needed.
  • Control access at entrances and vehicle gates by verifying identification and/or credentials, monitoring visitor check-in processes, and directing deliveries to designated areas.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and shift handoffs, communicating security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
