Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and appropriate emergency response activities at a transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and supporting security-related response efforts.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned areas, including perimeter routes, entry points, parking areas, and other transportation-related property.
  • Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and/or operational disruptions, helping to deter unwanted behavior and reporting concerns to site contacts and local authorities when appropriate.
  • Assist with inspection of gates, credentials, vehicles, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and site policies while maintaining a professional presence.
