Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform vehicle and/or foot patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an armed patrol post at a chemical and petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and help to enforce post orders related to visitors, vehicles, and deliveries.
  • Support emergency and incident response by communicating with site contacts, public responders, and/or Allied Universal leadership while maintaining a visible armed presence.
