Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• An armed guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control activities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including preparing clear and accurate activity and incident reports.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and movement throughout the location, helping to verify authorization, enforce post orders, and report unusual conditions to the appropriate contacts.
• Support facility operations by communicating with site personnel, following chain-of-command instructions, and assisting with security-related procedures during routine activities and/or emergency situations.
