About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol Field Assessment in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least two years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned government facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Screen individuals and belongings in accordance with established access-control procedures and report prohibited items or irregularities to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable protocols.
  • Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
