As a Security Officer Armed Downtown in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • An armed guard card/license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and support entry and exit control procedures for employees, visitors, deliveries, and/or vehicles in accordance with site protocols.
  • Prepare clear, timely reports on incidents, patrol activity, and policy violations, and assist with follow-up actions related to security-related concerns.
