As an Armed Security Officer supporting an aerospace and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, operate a vehicle as part of assigned duties, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-oriented, and integrity-driven culture.

Requirements

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site requirements.
• Document patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
