About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Civic Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms, calls for service, and unusual activity. You will support transit staff and riders with clear communication and customer service, document incidents, and work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Have an armed guard card/license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma/GED as required by the client.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transportation locations.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter points; monitor for unusual activity and help to deter prohibited behavior.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with site personnel and public law enforcement as needed.
  • Control access at designated posts, verify credentials when required, and screen for prohibited items consistent with site policies and applicable laws.
  • Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs, document observations, and communicate key information to supervisors and oncoming officers.
