As a Security Officer Armed Campus in Fort Lauderdale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Officer supporting an educational location. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service and communication. Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess at least one year of corrections, law enforcement, military and/or degree in criminal justice.
• Possess an armed guard card.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, critical situations, and campus-related concerns in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol documentation, and other required records in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.
