As a Security Officer Armed Area Patrol in San Francisco, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.
  • Must possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document observations and actions according to site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout assigned buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify credentials, visitor logs, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and government site requirements.
  • Communicate with site contacts, local authorities, and/or Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, maintenance concerns, and other security-related matters as needed.
