As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in West Des Moines, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and/or potential policy violations.
• Monitor access control points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, and/or contractors, helping to support authorized entry and protect sensitive business areas.
• Support cash handling, high-value asset movement, and other sensitive operations with a visible armed presence, following post orders and escalation procedures established for the location.
