As a Security Officer - Armed Aero/Defense Patrol in Seal Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated aerospace and defense locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service. This driving and armed post allows you to remain visible, interact with personnel, and respond promptly to situations as they arise. Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience is required.
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while carrying a firearm as required for the post.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity, with attention to the unique needs of an aerospace and defense location.
- Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of all persons and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location.
- Communicate with site personnel and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and observations.
- Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
- Remain alert to potential security-related concerns specific to an aerospace and defense environment, and respond according to established procedures.
