As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an aerospace and defense location, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence. This role requires carrying a firearm and operating a vehicle as part of your daily responsibilities. You will engage with people on-site, deliver exceptional customer service, and uphold our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • A valid concealed carry weapons permit is required.
  • At least one year of experience in armed security, law enforcement, or military is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter, which may include sensitive areas related to aerospace and defense operations.
  • Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms as part of assigned duties, in accordance with company and site-specific protocols.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity within the location.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.
  • Remain alert to potential threats or hazards within the aerospace and defense environment, following established procedures to address them as needed.
