As a Security Officer - Armed Access Driver in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 5 years security-related experience or a college degree in criminal justice.
  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor access points and help to regulate entry and exit by verifying credentials, processing visitors, and/or directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant activity and notifying appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy violations.
  • Support front lobby and entry operations by maintaining visitor logs, issuing temporary badges or passes, and communicating access instructions with professionalism and courtesy.
