About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Access in Greenville, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
Have 3+ years of experience in security-related work, law enforcement, military police, and/or military service.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control/badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to all personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through established channels.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, restricted areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and unusual activity.
Monitor entry points, verify credentials and/or access permissions, and support controlled access procedures for employees, contractors, and approved visitors.
Support security-related operations in an aero and defense location by maintaining situational awareness, following post orders, and communicating clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
